LAGOS, April 1, 2025 – Brand Management Academy (BMA), Nigeria’s leading hub for practical commercial and leadership capability development, celebrated a significant milestone this weekend with the graduation of 90 students from its September 2024 cohort.
The graduates completed intensive training across BMA’s flagship programs: Advanced Brand Management, Advanced Sales Management, and Applied Marketing Foundation. This achievement marks the third batch of graduates for the year, reinforcing BMA’s commitment to addressing Nigeria’s marketing skills gap.
“We designed our programs to meet industry demands, ensuring our graduates are equipped with the practical tools and guidance they need to excel. Today, their work speaks for itself in the marketplace,” said Abiodun Ajiborode, Founder and Director of BMA, during the graduation ceremony.
The event was attended by industry leaders including representatives from the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON). Winnifred Akpan, Head of Corporate Communications at ARCON, emphasized that “Branding is about creating meaning, fostering trust, and building relationships with audiences,” while encouraging graduates to obtain ARCON certification to enhance their professional credentials.
BMA’s industry-relevant curriculum, developed by a team of top Nigerian experts, addresses a critical challenge in Nigeria’s marketing sector: the lack of practical knowledge transfer. The academy’s approach has proven particularly effective in providing foundational skills before advancing students to more complex marketing concepts.
This latest cohort of graduates joins a growing community of BMA alumni who are making significant contributions to Nigeria’s marketing industry, equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise necessary to navigate the dynamic commercial landscape.
